George W. Bush said before the Iraq War that it would cost the U.S. 60 billion dollars to invade Iraq and set up a new functioning government there. 2013 estimates range above +7 trillion dollars for all costs associated with the war and there still isn't a truly functional government there.

The muscle that lets your eye blink is the fastest muscle in your body. It allows you to blink 5 times a second. On average, you blink 15,000 times a day. Women blink twice as much as men.
Women speak average of 20,000 words a day vs. 7,000 words for men.

That's one big reason for the number of increasing people who have cancer and other terrible diseases that weren't so prevalent in history.

Here's an example: deaths from Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia have increased 68% from 2000 to 2010

                        Lava Tubes.
The lava burns through solid rock and gas blows it out or air pockets are formed. It was 15 feet high and wide.

                          This is "Pahoehoe" lava.
It's erupted from a volcanic vent, this lava is a liquid at temperatures of 1200-2,200F and Up to 100,000 times as viscous as water.

Beautiful pictures of your trip Werkboy. Post more pictures, I love that stuff and Hawaii. I've been there several times especially the big island.
I think you have your lava labeled incorrectly though. There are three types of lava. A'a lava rocks are porous, very jagged and typically thinner. Pahoehoe lava is what you described and pillow lava is only underwater lava.
                            Anyways loving it.
Pics pics pics more more more...

You're right Hunting. Here's a picture of "Aa" lava. This lava is seen more often throughout the island. In this area it went on and on as far as you could see. It looked like the moon.
