Default fwee! new lappy!
im getting a new laptop soon hopefully (crosses fingures) will be getting a used one, but looking for a faster one than i currently have. i have seen pretty decent alienware laptops on ebay (yeah yeah i know, ebay is shaky, but i have bough a lot of stuff from ebay) and really really want one. but i have seen that alienware laptops aren't that good. they didnt say why though.

in your opinion, if you've owned a laptop before or know much about coputers, whats the laptop brand xD

I had a Dell once... Total Piece of crap.
Alien ware is an excellent brand...
Despite being bought by Dell...
But they still do what they have always done: Make Quality Gaming computers with non-proprietary parts.
Even if they are sometimes... overpriced...

Never buy a laptop on eBay. You never know why they are willing to lose so much money and sell a laptop so cheap.

If you want a high-end computer, it's always cheaper to just build it yourself.

building a laptop is never cheaper.... thats why dell puts cheap @$$ parts and sells them for $400-$600 and make a $300-$400 profit.

i have an IBM computer that was build in 2001.... has never once lost performance and still runs like new, so i recommend IBM who make the ThinkPads laptops.... they come standard with fingerprint security scanners.... but since IBMs are so d*mn good they are a little pricey.... so the next best laptop in my opinion is Toshiba.... they make great affordable laptops, and you can buy them at walmart for about $600 for a decent well built laptop.

stay away from HP, Dell, samsung is alright.... some sony vios overheat to easily (plus are over priced for quality), and compag. <---- bad experiences with all thoes brands

if you don't mind mac operating system then go with apple, they are pretty good too.... and yet still a little over priced.

hope this helps any.

I have 2 Dell laptops, purchased with the no fault in-home repair warranty. My wife dropped the Latitude & broke the LCD display, they came to my house & repaired at no charge. I had 1 problem with the Inspiron's LCD display ribbon cable...again, they came to my house & repaired, no charge. 2 issues in 5 years, 1 our fault. I will be buying a Dell when I am ready for my next laptop...
