sorry for the quick reply before, i was at school.
I like most of the ideas up there, it's just that the ones i don't like much are the ones that interfere with how weapons work, and things that are just for convienence.
obviously, mike could throw in tweaks for weapons to work around 'indestructable terrain', and possibly make it so that weapons that fade into the backround change their color depending on the backround...
however, their really is no time to be wasted developing and testing small bits of code that add things you can do in just a few more steps.
you can already remove whole packs from the list. however, you just gotta click a button a couple more times.
as for tournaments, i think we've already proved you can do that without needing some sort of tournament creator. it's called taking down applicants, creating a roster by hand, and organizing matches. not too hard, once you get down to it.
now, for BM's suggestions...
no. 1 you already know my answer to.
no. 2: yesyesyes. so much more tactics.
no. 3: " " " " "
no. 4: that would enable use of terrain types like island, and make the island weapon that much cooler. but how would it work? is it DOT? or does it just slow tank and bullet movement? does it disable or shrink explosions? does it nullify fire, or make it create damaging and confusing steam? does hail (ice) float on it? do snowballs melt in it and add to it's mass? does acid make it produce toxic gas (acid steam, maybe? (and yes, i know that acid and water actually strips a hydrogen from the water. but this is a video game.))? do animals drown to the bottom and implode? or do they just pop? what happens when you tunnel from an airy space into a body of water?
you have to think of those questions.
no. 5: i like the ability of snow, and you know what my answer is for rain, but i think that overall, a mostly ambient effect for weather is good. more like a backround thing. however, either role it takes, weather would nullify any stealth weapons. what happens when you can see a defiinate sphere of black in the middle of a rainstorm? you know there's something there.

Water would be... well... water. Certain objects would float on top, others would sink. Projectiles would slow upon entry, and water would be thrown in multiple directions. Explosions would also produce similar results, and send water flying everywhere. If dirt forms in water, the water would be pushed out of the way. Zapper-type weapons would damage anything in a body of water if they zap something in the water. Fire would instantly dissipate. Nothing chemical or anything, nor would it evaporate.

Unless you put the rain/lightning/weather effects in the foreground.

Replays: The ability to save replays of either whole games or of a certain volley. There should also be an option to export the replays as an mpeg4 file.

I made that post somewhere I think... Or I dreamt it...
But yeah, (II guess I dreamt this) :
Ok, why can't PT just have a video option?
RECORD - STOP ~~ and have a video of your last game in a PT folder /Replay/PT001.NAME

Well..I've noticed that many people are saying due to gravitaional acceleration PT would lose simplicity...I don't agree..
the time for the projectile remains same..except the velocity would be different at different points of trajectory...l
and the dirt falling down faster would also be better...and wind affecting dirt makes it more realistic..

im not saying no to that. i would like it, actually. i'm just saying an option to toggle between advanced physics and simple physics would be ideal.

A good list you have going there, prateek. I'll give my thoughts later.
Though there's not much I can say that hasn't been covered already. (blue & ekoz team attack ftw)
