question one:
if i buy the game and download the full version and happen to lose it or something happense to my computer, can i re-download? what about on another whole COMPUTER? like, can i download it on more than one (for school. haha!=P)???
question two:
if i purchase the game for 15.99, and a new version comes out (i saw the board about an online one comming out) AFTERi payed and downloaded, will i recieve the updated version as well? i would hardly like to pay twice for the same game.
bonus round:
where is the delux expansion pack and how much does it cost? does it include all the others? please explain what it is =P
i am thinking about purchasing the game and am worried about those two issues. im hoping to have it this weekend or next weekend:D

1) yes
2) most definitely yes
3) theres no such thing as a deluxe expansion pack...theres the deluxe version and expansion packs...the deluxe version is the $15.99 game and the expansion packs are packs of 5 weapons (free) and 15 weapons (fee to download and attach)...when all of the expansion packs are attached to the deluxe version, you have 145 weapons and soon to be 165 weapons when the new packs come out!

As long as the game is still Pocket Tanks, I think that the updates will be free.
Mike and the rest of the Blitwise staff are working on another artillery game, which, if marketed as a new game, I would expect not to be free for Pocket Tanks Deluxe owners. Mike however, has said that he intends to keep updating Pocket Tanks even if this is the case.
I'm not Blitwise staff, but that's the information I've gathered.

First, to disspell this rumor, the upcoming game is not an artillery game, and that's about all I can say at the time. Second, Mike's PLAN is to release an update about once a month. Note: That's not for Pocket Tanks...one update a month. That means, at the current time, that one month would be PT, and the next update would be Super DX Ball, then back to PT. Of course, we all know the saying about the best laid plans of mice and men, so if the updates don't come out every 30 days like clockwork, don't be surprised.

Mike did say:
My goal for writing games is to make sure that they are still fun 30 years from now. So, what will probably happen is that I will keep enhancing Pocket Tanks for the next 30 years and keep the gameplay virtually the same. I want Pocket Tanks to be something like checkers or chess... a game that lasts.
However, I'm at the point where it's time to make a new artillery game engine. That is most likely where you'll start to see interactive objects, various terrain types, DOT "Damage Over Time" weapons, more than 2 players, team play, online play, etc....
I can't decide if it will be a 'spin off' of the Pocket Tanks world or a next-gen version of Pocket Tanks itself. One way or the other, I'll be spending 2007 working on a bigger 'artillery' game. For the old Amiga fans, think Scorched Tanks with all the enhancements you ever hoped for plus internet and network play.
As I've told folks before, Pocket Tanks and Super DX-Ball are going to be actively supported for the rest of my life... constantly ported to the latest computers as well as carefully enhanced and upgraded. In a world where new things come and go at a silly pace, I'd rather make stuff that sticks around for the long haul.
Specifically:
I'll be spending 2007 working on a bigger 'artillery' game.

Ah, yes, but there is also another game that will be coming out from BlitWise in the next month or two (mice and men again, but that's the aim). I don't want people to get the two confused.

WAAAAIT, WAIT, WAIT, so 2 games are coming out?

Well, technically there's only one game "coming out" because, I could be wrong, but I don't think development has even started on the next artillery engine yet. It's slated for 2007.
The other one though... a few months...

That is essentially correct, yes.

ish confused.
oh well. new game. regular updates...yeah =P
um.... you will hate me for this, but....ANOTHER question:
i am currently looking to buying some expansion packs. now is there a SINGLE download that contains ALL the expansion packs (free and buyable)? like, say i buy all the expansion packs, is there a way to combine them into one download? weird question, yes, sorry. but at school, the computers get swiped daily and i must re-download the game every day (thats not a problem, is it? if it is, i will stop that) and the 6 expansion packs and its a lot of hassel. is there any way at all? =P
Was It Me?

I don't think so. But, you can get the expansion packs put on a CD and mailed to you, I think. It's an option when you buy them.
The new CD's are really cool too. http://forums.blitwise.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84

I downloaded it to my thumbdrive/jumpdrive what ever you want to call it. I then installed it on there and on my personal computer so if i cant use my personal computer say at work and i dont have admin rights to install software on a computer im never with out my PT or DXB if i have access to a computer . Just a suggestion for those of you who may or may not want to have PT where ever you go. By the way Im thinking of starting a PTA (no not the school club) but more a Pocket Tanks Anonymous. Im sure there are a few of us out here that are truly addicted to this game. Hell I where im at now I have about 8 hours of down time a day (if that) and I whould say i spend at least 2 hours palying PT or DXB instead of sleeping. Am I addicted???

Well, the plan is taking effect now. Those of you signed up for the Newsletter will already know (if the newsletter went out as planned) that there is a release schedualed for next month, including the new BlitWise game I've been alluding to as well as many of the long awaited updates to Pocket Tanks itself.
