Hey,
Well I was wondering if anyone makes there own games here personally I make games with gamemaker.
I have made alot of games that have sold for good money.
Some of my games that I've made are Great Pyramid(A advanced puzzle game), Puzzle Cannon(A arcade/puzzle game), Corn(A simulation game) and Kamikanllope(A puzzle game).
The only one I sell is Great Pyramid, for $20 each and I've made a total of $120 with it.
Anyway I'm working on two better games, a First Person Shooter and a Platform Shooter.
So anyone else make games?

Hey!!! I use gamemaker too! Mine is 6.1 registered... I'm making a Pokemon spin off right now. I might switch back to a vertical tank game, or my 3rd person shooter.

I make games, but I like to use Torque. (www.garagegames.com)
Its a nice 3d engine that comes with a FPS starter kit. Currently I'm useing the starter kit to make a 3d tank game.

Yeah, I tried my friend's copy of Torque and didn't like it. Just didn't feel like I was making a game.

I've got gamemaker, but I don't have as much starting experience as some people. I stopped using it after I couldn't figure out how to program moves and controlling.

I could make an RPG tutorial, platform tutorial, top down tutorial, anything you want.

I wouldn't like to learn to make a game that way. I would rather go all the way by learning the code, studying, experimenting, and testing. Then I could make any game I wanted.

Making tutorials is a great way for people who don't understand to get there feet wet before drowning.

Torque is probably a good way to go for you then. It requires at lot of programing (in torque script) and you can pretty much make any game because after you buy the engine you get the source code (in c++ or maybe c+ I don't remember) to the engine. So you can basically create you own engine specially for the game your making.

Don't forget the $??? price tag. I think its between $150-$350 for the basic, over $1000 if you want to be able to make 10 games or something like that.

Only $150 (heh, it used to be only $100 when I bought it) witch is really good price considering what you get, you don't even have to buy the engine source code if you don't wan't to so you can use it for free and you can still do pretty much everything (even though I did buy the source code for the engine I haven't used it yet).
You can make unlimited games with no royalties. The only time you have to upgrade is when your company makes over $250,000.
There is also the Torque Game Engine Advanced witch is probably what you looked at because it is like $300. But it provides next gen graphics to make up for the price.
I'd stick with Torque and not Torque andvanced though unless you have a really fast computer.

$150 is more than $20. Thats too much for a beginner to start with who doesn't even have a commitment to gaming!

I made 2 games using Visual Basic 6. They are "Lights Out! (http://www.wimp.com/g/lightsout.swf)" and "Cash Cab (http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/cashcab/cashcab.html)". They are not posted on the internet or being sold.

When I clicked the link, I recognized the logo on the home page. Super Smash Bros. Chaos (http://www.freewebs.com/tacogamers/Smash%20Bros.exe) was made with that (click the link to download). If the link is dead, try the link again in a week or so.

Yes, I didn't know SSBC was the same thing as the BBB (Blitwise Bulletin Bpard).

It's probably the same forum software format system.

Maybe... But maybe not. I think the Blitwise picture in the top corner shouldn't be there if its a different forum for tacogames.

There are/have to be spaces on the software for personalized names/icons/slogans/etc. For without the optional space, you wouldn't know what forum you were posting in.
