What Zetablack means is that he thinks it's silly to bring out newer versions; he isn't saying that they're worse. Newer versions are made just to get people to buy them again. Just another silly sales tactic.

I loved those things. In second and third grade, I actually made little comic books about them. It was interesting stuff. Also, at one point I started converting my old drawings to Paint images. :D

Ah yes. I still have one of those. (Although the batteries have been dead for years.) It's one of the older ones. It took a while, but I eventually found the secret...alien...thing! *yay* (Don't know if the name Tamagotchi is applied to both the device and the actual character on screen.) Very difficult to do. You have to keep it's happiness and hunger at a constant 2 out of 4 at all times. I remember it evolving to the secret one one evening at a restaurant. Was about 7 at the time. (Then I dropped in it the lasagna by accident.):)

...and use a different font. Some people use weird methods to show a unique typing style. Similar to this one guy I know of who types // at the start and end of every post...

Agreed, but stop flaming him. Maybe his computer is so old it knows only that font and a handful of others that aren't here. Or maybe its a secret message. Nursery rhymes are actually prophecies predicting the end of the world. BUT... The only reason I don't like tamogothcise is that:
a) hard to spell
b) makes you a "nerd" in my school
c) a little annoying
d) no real motivation to play the game or change its batteries

Well, it bothers me a bit when people make every single aspect of their every post stand out from everybody else's. People just do it to give themselves individuality, but I say that if you're an interesting enough person, it's your personality that sets you apart from everybody else, and not the appearance of your text. Make a name for yourself with what you say, not with how you say it.

Correct, but here where I live, everyone loved them, and after 2 months when I asked them (Stands for my friends and some other people I know) about tamagochis, they all said "Man, I was stupid, spending my money on such thing..."
