Wow, it's glad to know I'm not as addicted as some people in here... :D

For the PS2, I love playing the Ratchet and Clank series and the Burnout series. The Jak series was pretty awesome too. They're my favourite games of all time. :)

The best series for the PS2 in my opinion is the Hitman series. Very fun, intersting, and strange game series.

I'm a big Nintendo DS fan, so that is pretty much all I play.

Etrian Odyssey (beat it)
Chrono Trigger DS (just beat it last week)
Final Fantasy III DS (the first FF game I've ever played)

I discovered Bangi-O in the bargan bin a few weeks ago... that is a very interesting and cool game.

I also beat Fallout 3 (XBox360) a few weeks ago, and I just got Fable 2 for my birthday last night.

For the longest time I would just buy games and never take the time to play then through. I've been turning over a new leaf. :)

Wow, Ben has mentioned that game before. Perhaps it's not as obscure a game as I had first imagined. Fascinating! :)

I'm a sucker for Deluxe Galaga AGA on the Amiga. That is my favorite vertical shooter thus far.

I agree, I have plain Galaga on a arcade machine, still in pristine condition :)

Ohhhhh! Yea, Galaga on a real arcade machine is the best. I sure did drop a lot of quarters into that machine. (perhaps your machine, if it spent any time in the Binghamton, New York area)

Are you an arcade collector?

Got Tetris DS? Tanshin is the only person here who has it, and I destroyed him last time.
Need a challenge.

As far as specifics, I play whatever I have a craving for.

I completed everything the Orange Box (PC) has to offer a month or so ago, so I've been fragging it up in GoldenEye: Source (http://forums.blitwise.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4289) a lot. :)

I do indeed have Tetris DS, but I'm not much of a challenge.

BTW - For some reason I have not enjoyed a Tetris game since "The New Tetris" on the Nintendo 64. I really think the developers of Tetris DS should have stuck to a more casual, non-retro themed, Tetris for the DS... I'm a retro gamer and even 'I' find the style a bit of a turn-off. Perhaps I'm being a bit curmudgeoned. :)

I pretty much either play Halo 3, or Advance Wars: Days of Ruin on the DS. So far I have racked up over 200 hours of playing time on AW: DoR. (I know because it keeps track :))..........and much more on Halo 3.

It's a pretty old machine, and certainly not bought by me, but Ill see if I can dig up its history. If it has any written records, that is.

Actually, I'm not a arcade collector, the way that hobby works is far too expensive for my current situation. I have another machine, a old Pac-Man one, that still works, though I cant gloat about its condition.

I dunno.
I actually received a copy of The New Tetris a week ago via eBay. Somehow, at some point, it got bent. Bent.

======

======

(Dashes are the contacts, = is the casing.)

The frontal casing is bent outward slightly, making it difficult to insert into the N64, and doesn't work more than half the time. How does that even happen?

Not sure if I should send it back or leave negative feedback, cause the item description said it was in good condition.
Anyone's thoughts?

(Sorry 'bout the topic change. Quickie answer will do.)

You have access to two more arcade machines than I do, which is pretty cool. I'd love to lay my hands on a "Speed Rumbler" or a "Ghosts and Goblins" cabinet. My wife 'might' allow a "Ms. Pac Man" machine in the house, so I could always start there. ;)

How the heck does an N64 cartridge warp like that? I'd probably inform the seller and see what they say... they often work hard to preserve their reputation.

I just picked up DoR a few days ago. I haven't tried it yet... as it is with my collecting hobby... but I will soon. But from the screenshots, I wonder why the terrain is pink when the game is about combat. You know, I once had a fellow from Norway yell at me for making the title screen to Scorched Tanks in shades of light blue. Apparently light blue is a baby girl color over there, and it was not making any sense to him at all. :)

The pink terrain represents "ruin" I'm guessing it's pink is because of the fire in the sky from the meteors.

I had a feeling it was from the color of the sky. :)

Let's see... if you bounce red light off of say green grass you do get some form of light red. (holding laser mouse to a green post-it note)

I can just picture a bunch of men sitting around a round table, taking out different color post-it-notes and shining colored lights at them.

BTW - Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is pretty fun.

Is it just me, or does Final Fantasy III get really hard half way through the game? It seems like one minute I win every battle, and the next the monster summons a rare attack that kills everyone in one hit. I mean, is that fair? :)

Anyone try Big Bang Mini for the DS yet? It's surprisingly fun actually. It can best be described as a stylus-shooter, since you use the stylus to move your ship 'and' to throw fireballs in a given direction. It's pretty good, especially for a $20 game. (it's a non-hardcore shooter)

I only play Yahoo! Chess other than Pocket Tanks on my computer.

I play...

Midnight Pool 2
Brain Exercise
Brain Challenge
ChessMaster

...on my Instinct.

I think this thread is vague enough to say...

I also play Table Tennis (Ping Pong), Pool, and Foosball outside of Comps and Consoles (and other devices). Hopefully me or my friend finds an Air Hockey table on Craig's list so that we can get one of those.

I actually just recently started playing the new Street Fighter 4 on XBox 360 but, I've not gotten use to it yet. Not sure if I really want to, though. We'll see.

Guess I should be asking, is that III for SNES or DS? (Or NES but I'd find that unlikely.)

Ever, mind telling me how Halo wars is, don't want GameFAQs to spoil anything, and your a fellow Blitwasian, so...

All of the classic final fantasy games (1-8 or 9) have had numerous monsters with instant-KO moves and spells, so I wouldn't doubt its just the monster set being given to you now. Moving ahead may just make things easier. That's just my thought.

Halo Wars is epic, and so is the Mythic map pack. The online battles can be really epic depending on how you play. I just dislike how opponents can resign. Why am I not allowed to enjoy my victory for several hours?

I am pathetically bad at Halo 3, but it still manages to be my favorite game.

Favorite games as of now:
Halo Wars, Halo 3 (mainly forge and custom games, though) and Pocket Tanks (not as much, lack of a ranked online system is beginning to draw me away from it)...

Halo Wars is awesome, it is a very fun game if you like RTS games. Even though each race separately (human and covenent) basically has the same vehicles, each leader has one or 2 unique units and abilities.

And the Covenent leader unit abilities are awesome, especially the Arbitor with his rage ability. :)

Halo Wars is epic, and so is the Mythic map pack.

The mythic maps are cool, especially Sand Box because you can spawn a golf club, a golf ball, AND a hole (complete with grass and a flag) to hit the golf ball in. :D
