IDEA 1: Continuesly read this post until the packs come out.
IDEA 2: Make a new religion to pass the time.

Indeed, the packs themselves are very close to completion. They are being tested now, and need a few things to polish them (such as final icons for the free pack) but things are moving along. We got a bit of snow yesterday, so the office was pretty empty, but I don't think that will put us too far behind.

Alright, some discussion. Now try to keep up here, folks, this is a bit tricky.

First, the rough estimate for the release is Friday. That means SOMETIME Friday. If you start complaining on the board and sending me emails at 12:01AM Friday morning, I will personally make you wish you had never been born. :)

Now, to answer the question: Why has this taken so long? Why all the delays? The Tornado Pack uses many of the engine updates from v1.10, and thus is New Territory. However, the updates in 1.10 were not enough. Some of the weapon effects require additional engine changes. These changes will be released in the new update, v1.20, which comes out with the Tornado Pack. If you purchase Tornado, you MUST request a new version, or it will not work. This...frankly, is going to cause a lot of problems, tech support wise, but it's the best way we could manage to do it. Fuzz Pack will still be compatible with v1.00b and v1.10. The new things we've done and the changes made to the engine took a great deal longer than anticipated, and caused some big bugs. I don't mean little ladybugs, I'm talking those honking big tropical beetles the size of small dogs that native children go for rides on.

That being said, all that needed to be fixed has been fixed. Those of you who download the new version really won't see any big differences, but it'll pay off when you try the Tornado pack.

Death, as AaP006 said, there is a reason for doing it this way. Namely, the patch would not work. Or, perhaps more accurately, it might work too well. Mike thinks that it's possible for people who are so inclined to use a publicly available patch to essentially make the shareware version behave as a Deluxe version, i.e., enabling expansion packs, etc.

Neon Wars is indeed out for PC. This is a new update which features DirectX support in addition to the old OpenGL, which gave many people some trouble.

As for the Mac version, I can only tell you that I've heard through the grapevine that the port is close to being finished.
