Alright, I notice that this hasn't been mentioned, so I'll have to chime in myself. I love WoW. My wife loves WoW too. She started playing a month or so back, and we enjoy playing together. It has been good for our marriage, really! (not so much for our housework)

Anyone else around here play WoW? C'mon...speak up. Share your secret shame!

That's something I might try... if My computer were several times faster... I actually had Broadband... and well... if I liked MMOrpg's... or whatever you call those...

I've been specifically avoiding the game.

1. The money adds up. I don't want to pay that monthly fee.

2. There's the addiction. Video games keep me busy enough, as well as surfing the net and posting on forums...:D

3. Yet more on addiction, people go from not knowing the game to addicts in one day...

4. Do people talk about anything else after they play the game? It makes for a dull conversation.

5. Like mentioned by Brian, chores and some other priorities fall into the backseat...

I just don't like MMOrpg's. But WOW is better than Runescape, from what I've heard and seen.

If people are willing to waste their life and tons of cash on WoW, but not on Runescape, then I have a feeling that WoW is better than the latter... /sarcasm

I understand why a lot of people are hesitant to buy it as well. The monthly fee can be annoying, especially. Of course, I haven't bought a single other game since I started playing it. At $30-$45 a pop for a decent new console game, that means that I could either play WoW or buy a new game every two to three months for the same price. I found WoW more satisfying. Of course, now there are two monthly fees, but for the first time in our marriage, my wife is playing a game with me. As someone who has played video games for over 15 years, that's an intangible benefit I couldn't put a dollar amount on. ;)

That made little sense, and I am pretty sure that never happened, because if it did, there would be a HUGE lawsuit. In other news, I downloaded the game, and after eight hours, I got a bug in the program. Whenever I started the game, it would say "Patch (number) Missing." I'd wait three hours for a download, and "Patch (same number) Missing." Every time I downloaded the patch, I got a virus, some spyware etc.

Hmmm, I've never had any problems with that myself. I find that the starter screen that they installed a few months back in one of the patches tends to weed out any unwanted programs interfering with WoW, and I've never had problems with virus being downloaded along with patches. I've had patching problems, but that can usually be traced to my Firewall.
