I downloaded the new version of pocket tanks and noticed two things
1. It did not seem to find or recognize any of my weapons packs, I have bought every one..........
2. It asked me if I wanted to buy it - This is not a free upgrade for registered owners ?

Everything that he says above me is the same to my problem. I have purchased all the weapon packs and i have also purchased PT Version 1.00.
I would really like to know how to get this to work.

Did you download the update from the link posted by Brian on this forum?
If so, then that is the shareware version, and the weapon packs will not work with it. To obtain the Deluxe version of the new PTanks update, you will need to e-mail Brian at techsupport@blitwise.com, providing the name and e-mail address you used when you first purchased it. :)

I downloaded the one that is at the download main page on the site. I do not know the e-mail used to buy the game and packs. Someone else bought it for me.

Well, then email him, he might be able to help.

ANY download posted on this site is the FREEWARE version of the game, meaning the trial version. if you have not recieved the update via email, email tech support, as was it me? said, provide the information.
now, how did you download the PT version that you had (delux 1.00b)? it should have been sent through email for you, giving you the link. if you downloaded through email, give the tech support that email address.
however;
if your friend sent you the link him/her SELF, ask for the email address he/she used and send THAT adress in.
sorry if im confusing. lol.

Also, if you are a registered Pocket Tanks Deluxe owner, you should have received a notice newsletter in the mail with a link to download the Deluxe version. Of course, if you don't have the same email, or if your email filter is a bit aggressive, that might catch it. Either way, email me and I'll help you out as soon as I can. Big backlog of Tech Support mails, no surprise.

I received the newsletter today and could no longer resist buying the new version of PT. Aside from from a relatively improved, though puzzingly quirky (at times) AI, and a few new sounds and graphics tweaks....I'm still stuck in the doldrums of kicking CPU butt on an ever maddening basis. I was expecting closer scores....something. So far, it seems my lead at the end of the games has slightly widened!
Is it possible that the AI will simply take more time to adjust to my style of game play before further fuzzifying the logic in it's highly conservative approach to virtual physics mayhem....or am I likely ignorant of a momentarily shy Elephant in my living room?
Perhaps I've commented too early, having only played a handful of games on the new version.....?

Last I got was newsletter #5. No filters on the e-mail addy in question to delete anything. My wife just mentioned my playing Pocket Tanks with my nephews when they came over Saturday and I told her last I'd read there was supposed to be an update coming this year, so I went to the web page and I saw that it came out. That was the only way I knew about it.
So, add me to the list of folks saying they got no notification. Guess I'll have to e-mail my info.

Tech, keep in mind, the AI is supposed to be a challenge to the average person. For a lot of the people on this board, that isn't you. There are people here who found out things about weapon capabilities that Mike didn't even know were possible. Also, the AI is still rather...artificial. It's intelligence pertains, I believe, to finding the very best shot, etc. It still doesn't really have the capacity for planning, the same way a human does.
Fred, is it possible that the email you are currently using is a different email from the one you purchased Pocket Tanks on? (It's rather common. I spend half my time searching through alternate email addresses for people) If so, send me a request (techsupport@blitwise.com) to have your email updated on our newsletter list, and we'll keep you up to date.
