I don't know where to buy, but it's popular, so just look in your favourite old games store, eBay or fan sites.

Who Is Oscar Lake

www.ihavenoidea.com It's an educational game for languages, but it's actually good. It's in live action. Give it a Google search. If I'm right, the game was about $70 on online stores(because it's educational and educational stuff costs alot :P), but in eBay it could not cost that much, it's old.

I'd also like to make a request. I remember playing a game(I'm certain that it is freeware or abandonware) that you start outside a party and need to get in. I think the main character was a short mob-looking guy... There were some tiki stuff inside the party.

The others I have played are either not good(amateur/old/crappy games) or aren't in English.

Hmm... I've never played many point and click games, so I don't even remember how good they are...
I've heard of Cedric and the Revolution from The Daily Click before.

I've only played the old Hugo series... Way old... Actually, it's more of a Typing adventure...

Here's a small wikipedia article...

No thread about adventure games can do without a link to ScummVM (http://www.scummvm.org/).

Also, Grim Fandango is arguably the pinnacle of the adventure game genre. Play it.
