Have you signed up for an account, and responded to the email confirmation, but now find that your account is in need of activation?
I'm sorry. We've been having a problem lately with one or more spammers signing up for multiple accounts and filling the boards with junk. As such, as a temporary measure only (I hope), I've changed the registration rules to require each new registration to be approved by a Moderator. That would be me. I promise that I will check and make sure that it is done at least once a day, even on the weekends, but that may mean a bit of a delay for you. This is for the good of the board as a whole, as no one likes to post on a messageboard full of useless spam crap.
I thank you for your patience and understanding while this is sorted out.
Note: Another solution to the problem has been found, however, if it proves ineffective, we may try this again.

So you can't register without your permission and review first? Or something like that.

Yeah, I think that you can't log in after you first register until Brian reviews and "activates" your account.
And, with any luck, we won't see anymore spammers.

Go to the forum main screen, scroll all the way down, and look at the newest member. (securedcreditcard)
HAH! Rofl Lol:) 20 Bucks Says Spam Bot XL. Why Dont You Make New Members Fill Out One Of Those Funky Word Things? Better Yet, Two. That Would Stop Spam BotS... Probably.

Spammers are constantly on this and many other forums. <suckup>It's just a sign of good mod-ship that so few make it to the boards to post.</suckup>
The new member guy is probably a real person instead of a spybot. Bots are typically not supposed to be able to get passed those images with the code you have to type in before registering. The same guy that registered on this forum has probably done the same thing on 20+ other forums.

I really wonder if those people have any lives, if they are willing to register on 20+ forums. Plus, you can hack those images and still get through.
YOU Could Hack Through, But Could An Automated SpamBot? Those Things Arent To Smart Even If They Are Pure Evil...

They are of the demonic nature.

Their nature is of people who decide to inconvenience others by hassling them with random messages that will in turn do nothing, and they can hack. I know that most bots make their own activation code.

They are, indeed, able to get past the image verification. Doesn't do them much good though, as so far, about 1 in 100 gets his stupid spam on the boards. Those that do are generally useless, i.e. no links, no images, etc.
What About Multiple Image Verification? Could It Beat Two Or Three Images Of Different Styles On One Page?

Most likely. Either way, I don't wish to place an undue hardship on those legitimately trying to join the boards, particularly when it doesn't matter HOW many spambots have accounts. They post...the post is invisible to the public, I see the post, ban them, and delete it. Happy ending.
OK... How About This, Have A Picture That Says TYPE THIS IN BOX And Has A Arrow Pointing Down. Then, Below It, Typed On The Page Verticaly, A List Of Five Random Numbers. A Bot Would Need To Be Custom Written To Beat It, And It Would Be Easy For People To Join.
