Hello again guys. First, I hope you're all enjoying Neon Wars, and continue to do so. Second, I'd like to thank all of you for your help spreading the word, and especially those of you who purchased the Deluxe version. It's support from you that makes new games possible.

But to the purpose of this thread. I've spent the last couple of days in a life and death struggle with various video capturing and editing programs, and have come out with a small promotional video for the shareware version of Neon Wars. It's not much, and I'm no Cecil B. DeMille, but I'm pretty happy with what we've got. If you'd like to, you can check it out
here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hwinoQ0mrLk).

UPDATE: The Deluxe version is now up. It's longer, more action packed, and shows off some of the Deluxe only weapons. You can view it here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em3Gd4XTeEg).

Let me know what you think, and share it with your friends. If this is received well, I'm thinking of doing a similar video for the Deluxe version, with the other weapons, level mode, etc.

Nice video, I also noticed some pocket tanks ones. Mabye you should make an advertisement for DX-Ball and Pocket Tanks as well.

When I was in Middle School, all the kids played Pocket Tanks in computer tech!;)

When I was in the 7th grade I made my ENTIRE class and some other people addicted to DX Ball ^^
The video should show every enemy, and maybe the ship customization menu.

Cecil B. DeMille was a famous director from what could be described as the golden age of film. He made movies from just after WWI until the late fifties, including classics like "The Ten Commandments", "The Virginian", "The Crusades", and "King of Kings" to name just a few.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I'm somewhat happy with how it turned out, but not completely. We may revise it.

Shiaoran, we meant it to just be a very short video showing the action packed gameplay that we think is signature of Neon Wars. When we have the Deluxe version, there may be more stuff in it, but probably not any menus.

Update: I revamped the movie, changed a good deal, and made it quite a bit better, we all think. The old movie doesn't exist. Mike DID stifle some of my creative impulses on this, but what can you do. I suppose that picture of me dancing a jig was somewhat of a nonsequitor, anyway.

Yeah this Preview is pretty nice.
IF you really want to have a Video for the Deluxe Version then you can ask
me. I think I really do have well knewledge of making smaller but action
packed and focused Videos with the Adobe Premiere Workshop I had...

You only need to give me the order... And a Deluxe Version DL Link xD

I've embedded the Deluxe video in my Neon Wars page on Reflectedgames.com

Are you and Mike going to do something similar Brian, or just use a link? :)

Mike and I have talked about it, and he plans on embedding the two on Monday, most likely, but doesn't want to get distracted from our work on the Deluxe update over it.

So I take it you like it, Rich? I hope so. I worked pretty hard on them. :)

Hey can you put videos of Neon Wars and or Pocket Tanks on BlitWise.com? I know people can just download and try it, but is only a thought.

Brian: Yes I like it. :)

Zwaken: Yes I am. My other shareware games are Storm & Sunny Ball and I've also made Dynamite & Chaos Funk (which are free) as well as a series of game creation tutorials.
