How many people on this site use Steam? I play Team Fortress 2 pretty much every day. We should exchange Steam names here, and you should all join the Blitwise group I made.

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Blitwise

Open that up in the Steam window.

My Steam name is loofiloo, so add me as a friend if you have a name.

I didn't find a thread like this. And at any rate, there wasn't a Steam group for Blitwise.

So is nobody going to post their Steam name or join the group?

Done.

Heh, if Mike W. were a big Steam user, his leadership would be awesome. Kickawesome, if you will.

I guess not many people here use Steam. I was hoping I'd find folks to play TF2 with, or someone who thinks they can compete with me in Audiosurf.

Audiosurf? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7HcqGPI2aY&feature=channel_page) Anyone?

I like TF2, but I'm not great at it by any stretch of the imagination.

Though I will take y'all on in GoldenEye: Source (http://www.GoldenEyeSource.net).
(Oh lord, "y'all" is in the Google Chrome word list...)

I thought Goldeneye Source got cut short because the creator killed himself or something.

Did somebody else pick it up and finish it? Or is it still just partially done?

Quite the opposite.
The rest of the team is dedicating the mod in memory of him.

Quite a few new modelers, mappers, animators, etc have signed up.

Current status is BETA 3.1 ( adding a .4 after needing a quick hotfix)

After the ludicrously long time in between 1.1h and 3, the wheels are spinning faster than ever. It's only missing four of the guns, and a few maps.
See my thread in Other Games. (Should bring up the ZDooM thread while at it.)

Well, this (http://www.ges-stats.com/hlstats.php?mode=weaponinfo&weapon=%23GE_Shotgun&game=ges) would explain your shotgun ownage, Zwaken.

Wait......do you need Steam to play GoldenEye Source?

Samail

You need:

-Steam
-A Source game (Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Portal, CSS, etc.)

Steam here (http://storefront.steampowered.com/download/SteamInstall.msi).

I just got the Orange Box (HL2 + TF2 + Portal) because it improves your life anyway.
Zwaken is running his off of CSS.

Last time I remembered Steam wasn't free though, so unless they changed it then oh wellz.

I don't like giving credit card info to play games. Which is why I never got the original Xbox Live, but they have pre-paid cards now which is what I use. :)

Hmm? I was unaware of this.
I don't think Steam costs $. Try the link. (Why wouldn't you try the link ¬¬ ...)

Steam has never cost any money.

It actually saves you money because you don't have to pay sales tax on a game you buy through Steam.

Well, it's easy to give it another chance. I haven't had a single problem yet.

Ok, well I installed Steam, but you still need a credit card to buy games. >_>

True.
I just went to Wal-mart and got The Orange Box for $30.
Heck, it's probably gone down since then.
