I see a lot of people using that when posting.
Example; This game is =/= that game...
Thanks.
Not equals. It's supposed to be an equals sign with a cross through it.
You'll also see people use != for not equals occasionally.

Appreciate it. I kind of thought that was what it meant but didn't want to be a fool and use it when it's not needed.

"<>" also means "not equal" in the Visual Basic programming language. Just throwing that out there.

"≠" is the real not equals symbol.

That's what it really means? I thought it was just another awkward "emoticon" facial thing.

For "not equals" I just italicize a # sign. "#" sorta works...Good enough I guess.

...To be honest, that was my first impression also. (Way back when)
@Zwaken: Windows actually has a "character mapper" built into the Accessories in the Start menu.
(Thanks to WGS for informing of that.)
Still don't know how I never came across that until he mentioned it...

If you're running XP or Vista, it should be there under Accessories\System Tools.
(May be on other OSs. Don't know.)
Actually called Character Map.

Not sure why you wouldn't at least attempt to explore the Accessories section...
Now how in the would am i surpossed to find what i want... in that?
Pick a font and find the symbol you want...

I ment about the millions of symbols there, how do i find the correct one?
Few random ones.
Right, so there are more in some fonts than others

Maybe the name "Character Map" way back then was a deceiving name and you would have never thought it would serve any cool purpose.
I remember that conversation where you had no idea where I pulled those kind of characters from that wasn't on any standard keyboard.
