View Full Version : Hello, introducing myself.
Hello,
Nice forum you have Mike, can't believe how many people there are here..
Anyhoo, my name is Jamie (aka Qwak). I make game. I'm from the UK. My other hobbies incl. Salsa (dancing) and running (up to half marathon distance). I've just finished development on a game (see my sig.) and have been led to believe that there may be other indie game developers lurking around these parts?
All the best,
Jamie. :)
Oh, hello Qwak! Welcome to the forums.
We didn't have an UK member since Neko244.

Don't believe we have anyone else from the UK, other than Richard Phipps. :)
Welcome.
Yes, there are a few other light-weight developers here, though a few of them are never here.

Yeeeeeaaaaah, boiiiiiii!
Glad to have you aboard.
I just started learning how to make games myself about 2 or 3 months ago. It can be difficult.
If you got any pointers on where to get the best info, I'd like to know. Thanks.
And if you have any questions about anything we are here to help. My specialty is girls. Ask me anything about 'em. I got the answer for ya'.

Welcome. It's always a pleasure to have a non-spammer member join us. We seem to get less of those now, thanks to ben, Brian, and Mike.

Ooohh? Well, English is my first (and only) language!
Which parts?

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Can't believe there's just the 2 of us Brits here?

Indeed. I would think someone who is English would speak... English.
Not many of us Canadians here, either.

Welcome aboard Qwak, although I don't socialize much here, it is still a pleasure to have another PT fan.

To be brutally honest, your English is more flawed then his. More then likely, you misunderstood the term Indie and the abbrv. of include.

There you go again, tearing apart peoples posts. :D
I thought it was the part where he said, "I make game.". That kind of sounds like a foreigner would say it if you say it out loud. Know what I mean?
I think it should be, "I make games", or "I made a game", or "I am making a game", or "I am a game maker", depending on what he was trying to say.
I think Nonnag was just Nonnagin' it, ya dig?

He prob. just forgot the S.
I would dig even more if the connection was better up here on Zen.
I thought Jamie was a girl's name?
jamie heineman? mythbusters?
yeah, it's not just a girls name.

I thought Jamie was a girl's name?
I thought, "Xap", was a alien name. :p
Your supposed to be meditating, Rex Nex! I'm gonna tell the Zen Master on you.
I think it's more commonly used as a girl's name. I know several girls named Jamie at my school. (and several boys named James)
Anyway, welcome, Quak! ;)

There's a pro skater guy named Jamie.
And Jamie Foxx the comedian.
If you didn't know that name was unisex, you need to get out more.
Mitch is unisex, too, I think.

Omg, why don't you just go on MySpace or Facebook and search. I don't feel like going through all that because you don't know. I'm lazy.

Rofl.
Welcome, Qwak. I like the letters Q and K...and W so you're already on my good side.
Yeah, it's actually spelled Qwak, which kinda breaks with the rules of English language, where there would normally be a 'u' after a 'Q'.
I think it's important to break the rules. :p

Laws are rules.
With that said, I think it's important for you to go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 dollars.

Blissturd is right, I know a girl a named Bobbie, and that guy from the boy band O-Town is named Ashley Angel (Don't ask me how I know this, rofl).
Also, I'm male and my name is Jody, the funny part is I used to date a girl named Jodie...
There are a lot of unisex names that people would never believe, but they're there.
:)

Yeah, here you go.

It doesn't have all of them, though. I heard of a girl named Bennie(Ben) as well and it's not there.
