View Full Version : Super DX ball dead?

As you can see, there are only 3 threads in this forum. Everyone seems to be ignoring it. And the thread "Super DX ball planned update!" has been running for years and likely will never be posted in again by anyone who isn't a old-thread reviver. What is going on?

PT is just more popular, and better in my opinion. So naturally, it gets more attention.

John go back to the nuclear explosion for the avatar.

Thats true Zwaken, but this is still a game that likely has a nifty number of hours put in it. Its not a bad game at all.

People probably still play it, just not many people on the forums play it.

I wonder if Brian can release how many Super DXBD's and Pocket Tanks Deluxe's were sold last year. If he even knows...

This is the only user-created thread in this forum.

It's funny. SDX-B is the largest game Mike has ever written.
I have the full game, but haven't really touched it for quite a while... I think my brain is rejecting Breakout-style after too much exposure time.

I tried to get my dad into it, because he loves breakout style games, but he never had enough time to try it.

I on the other hand, I never liked SDXB or NW too much because they required too much non-thinking action.

My dad NEVER plays computer games.

The rumor's of SDXB's death have been greatly exaggerated. It is true, though, that we haven't done anything with it in over a year. Mike spent a few weeks on boards a while back, but they are more time consuming than a weapon pack, and Pocket Tanks is far and away the more popular (and thus profitable) game in our arsenal. I don't know when or how Mike plans on returning to SDXB next, but I imagine we'll see some activity next year, if our current projects don't drag on.

Well SDX-B has so much content anyway, I don't imagine people will riot if it's put on the back burner for a while.

So...........when will that be I wonder. :(

a while, i guess.

the awsome thing about breakout games is that they don't need as much attention. the fun is coming from the action, and you can play the same thing over and over again and still have fun.

but blitwise needs to keep their attention on PT more because it DOES require regular updates, because it gets quite boring.

It does. Why am I in italics? Anyway, I'm to lazy to click the I button. *coughIwillstopcough*.

You're right, ekoz.

I haven't played PT for two weeks now because it bored me. And i have a lot of duties at school, so i don't have time neither.

But updates would be nice.

To put it bluntly, I think that Super Dragon Ball Z is going to be great. Then again, I have always been a big fighting game fan, it may just be that fact telling me this, but I think that this looks like the best DBZ game yet, and I believe it will be for many years to come.
