How many lines of C++ does it take to make a weapon like...sprinkler? Just curious. I want to see if I could ever make weapons of my own when I'm like about 16 or 17.

I would guess that it takes more than 30 for some weapons, not all but some.

I would guess that Sprinkler is a fairly simple weapon, code-wise. Maybe 30-40 lines of unique code for the main shot and about 15 for the smaller bullets. The key word being unique, because most games have a framework set up for basic functions (Single Shot), and you would modify and add to get your desired effect. BTW, the most complex weapons were probably Funnel, Crazy Wall, Melt Down, the Cruiser family, and Jump Jets.
(These are VERY rough estimates, based on my experinece with UnrealScript and various Liero tinkering; I obviously can't give an exact answer because I haven't seen Mike's code)

hmm it's hard to say. I'm willing to bet... technically, in the hundreds. The weapon probably has its own class which inheirits the general weapons class.

Maybe.
But hundreds?
That's very much.
My guess is closer to 30.

I don't think that Rich would know that for Ptanks. As far as I know, he only worked on Neon Wars and everything beyond that point.

jump jets?
you kiddin me?
itsa a weapon that has a lifetime of 0 with no explosion image and a recoil of weapon power times two(or something like that)

well that is a KICK of negative of 1/4 your power.
Blast off is a kick of negative of your power

I thought that Blast Off has a kick or 1/2 your power, while Turn and Burn has a kick equal to your power...?
