I'm guessing they were jpegs before? Jpegs and gifs seem to mess up pictures, so I always use pngs.

Everlast, just download a art program (Gimp is a good choise since its free) and draw what ever you want. If you need some help on how to use whatever you choose for an art program you can find pleanty of tutorials online or ask one of us who has used the program.

I like the control that Paint allows. It is (or used to be before I got a Mac) my preference for pixel art type of stuff.

It does take some patience, but for small game artwork, nothing that I've found beats its level of control.

This is just a minor update, but I changed the background in my avatar so rather than being white, it's the same color as the background on these forums.

I may do some work in Paint to pixelate this new one... The fuzziness is a little annoying, and it's easy for me to convert a photo or other picture to a pixelated work.

Well mine has been an anime character since day 1, and we really don't have that many around here as it is... The only other ones I count are The Slade and blue_moon/demyx. If I were to change mine to the new picture, it would still be anime (really just anime-esque, since I'm not Japanese).

Now I can't speak for most people here, but I'm anything but an anime fan. Too much of them are too similar, I say, and several have a real cookie-cutter plot. The Littl' Bits was different though... It had pretty much zero anime cliches, and most people who watched it didn't even realize it was anime. It had an atypical animation style, I suppose.

I couldn't use the exact same image, since it's a jpeg and has lots of fuzziness, but I got a new picture of the same symbol. This should work, eh? Keep in mind, transparent PNGs still won't display properly in IE 6, if that's what you're using. Maybe a gif will work.

Ya I use that one on my MSN Messenger. It's actually 3 different GIF images, and you have to put them in the right order or it gets all screwy.

When you create and image set the background as "transparency".

Well, see, it shows up fine right up there (in my previous post).
I don't think the uploading service has to do with if it shows up in your sig or not.
What does the code for the picture in your sig look like?
Is it the <Picture> thing, or something slightly varied?

you have to do that code, but first save your sig pic below the text block and then...

Ok, I did that, then I clicked "add pic to signature", which made "[SIGPIC ] [ /SIGPIC]" appear in my sig, then clicked "preview sig".
Then, it gave me a message that said I have two images in my sig!!
What the heck!? I only tried to add one image. I have no idea what's wrong with this...

EDIT: Aha!! The smiley counted as a picture! Thanks for the help.

They're called Metals in certain games. That's my name for them. There is another name, but cn't remember what it is. Your particular Metal is from either Megaman 4 or 5 I think.

Phase 1: Save as BMP
Phase 2: Open image in Paint
Phase 3: Save image as PNG
Phase 4: ???
Phase 5: Profit!

Unless you mean PAINT would only let you save it as those things, in which case something must be seriously wrong. o.O

I guess something is seriously wrong with my Windows ME computer because it can't read .PNG's It gets an error saying that it can not open the file.
