I have played pocket tanks (unregistered free version) on someone elses computer. We really liked the game. Then I played the game with all the extra weapons. Cool. Ok time to fork over some money and buy the game. Should cost about 16 bucks according to the pocket tanks unregistered version.
Well when I get to the purchase screen online I see I have to spend much more to get all of the weapons. So I opted out as I was prepared for the deluxe price but not that cost for weapons packs. So I haven't purchased.
This is NOT intended to be a rant or flame or hate post from someone that is pissed off at blitwise. I truely just want to express my opinion.
I think the paid price should include all the weapons. Just don't think a game like this should cost near as much as games like Quake etc.
Best wishes! Really.

Well, to be fair, the "full game" is just the 60 weapons, and everything else is a bunch of expansion packs. But I too think that with the growing number of packs, the price should go down some.

Just to reiterate. The game is great. I wish them nothing but the best. If the quoted price in the free version was the price I had to pay for all the weapons they would have some of my money right now, but now they don't. Price just seems a bit high for this type of game.
Maybe they make more money this way, hey that is cool, this is a business, got no problem with how they are doing their business, just if they want my business the price would have to be 15.99 for the whole kit and kaboodle.

Hi Omega,
I understand how you feel about it, and you have every right to say what you've said. And I'm certainly not trying to talk you into a sale or anything. That's what the subliminal messages (BUYNOW) in my post are for. But let me put it this way. As Loo said, these other weapons are expansion packs. They aren't themselves integrated into the Deluxe version. We've released them periodically over the past several years. Also, many of the expansion packs ARE free. What you get for your 15.99 is essentially an increase from 30 weapons to 60, and then, with all the current free expansion packs, an increase from 60 weapons to 90. Without paying a dime over that 16 bucks. Many of our fans do just that...buy Deluxe and then download the free expansion packs at each new release. However, if we were to offer all our packs for free, frankly...we wouldn't be making money. It would be work that was being done for no money, which means that Mike would have no incentive to continue to put out expansion packs, or to further support the game. It would be better worth his time to simply put out a new game. And I'm sure if you ask any of the fans here, 80% of them would say that one of the great things about BlitWise games is the way they are supported and expanded on. In the future, with our expanded capabilities, we intend to release an expansion pack once every month or two, which is a pretty good deal for the fans. It's that support, that dedication to the games we make and the products we sell that makes BlitWise what it is, and that gives us a very loyal fanbase. Without those pay expansion packs, it would all evaporate.
Anyway, that's just our side of it. I'm sure it's nothing you didn't already know, but perhaps it was a point of view, namely, that those pay expansion packs keep the expansion packs coming, that you hadn't considered. If we didn't charge for those packs, there would still be only 60 weapons, instead of the 165 there are today.

I wasn't aware any of the expansion paks were free. So that is news to me. Thanks for responding and giving your side of the issue. I did learn something. Its just I am not willing (at least at this time) to pay for all the expansion paks as well as the game. Not even really meant to be a complaint, more of a statement of how it is. I am sure you get tons more feedback from those that have purchased the game compared to those who haven't.
Just picture me working my way down the aisle at a store, seeing what I want, picking up the package and then after seeing the price put it back on the shelf. That is all.

I think all of you know already, as I have said it many times, that I haven't paid for any of the expansions or the deluxe version for that matter, because I don't have a credit card and can't use my parents. I feel that I should have paid because if they didn't make any money on it then.........there wouldn't be much to get and I would be really bored in the afternoons. :) Although I'm gonna try to buy the new game through the mail, if thats possible, because I want to support BlitWise, just that right now.........I can't. Oh ya I don't know for sure but couldn't BlitWise contact the website that is giving it away for free and tell them to stop?

10 guys? Wow...he must think we're some kind of big company! There's only 5 on the payroll, and at this very moment, only Mike W. and myself in the offices. But thanks for thinking we each work hard enough for 2 men! :D
Omega, as I said, I understand where you're coming from completely. My post was not intended as a rebuke of yours, but as an explaination. I'm pleased that you discovered the free expansion packs, and I hope you enjoy them. They are a kind of "Thank You" to the fans who plopped down the 15.99 for the Deluxe version.
As to sites that give away our game, we do what we can. I've dealt with two so far this week, mainly thanks to the diligence of posters pointing them out to me, but I don't have time to go Googling our game to see who is violating our copyright. If anyone does see Pocket Tanks Deluxe or Super DX Ball Deluxe being given away, and finds this unsettling, feel free to send me a PM, and I'll see what I can do about it. No obligation though, and no pressure. I'm not your Mommy, and I'm not your conscience. :)
