Belligerent is my word! I hate MMOs unless its this one that some guy made but you don't level up. You can make your own store or town or warehouse. I can't wait till its done! I am making a game right now, just to mention it. It won't be an MMO, so thats okay. I'm not good at finding glitches in my own game, but I can find a way to reverse gravity in the Kingdom Hearts games. My Roadkill found a glitch where you could talk to bushes, walls, dirt, houses, water, plants, bridges or anything instead of just the sign. Not enough unexpected spontaneity. You wouldn't see a swarm of bees burst from a door in THAT story, I dare say!

Speaking of the CYOA, I'm working on a web page design project that requires me to use Fireworks (image-making program) to make a promotional graphic for something. I decided to make a promotion for my CYOA. It'll have bits of several scenes pasted in with added effects, and nice dramatic abstract nouns... Like "ADVENTURE..." "MYSTERY..." "BETRAYAL..." And who-knows-what else. I generally plan to over-dramatize my Paint drawings and silly story for the sake of a good grade. =P

I seriously wish I went to a private school. Tell me, do your schools practically allow knives in, and let kids go to their lockers before a locker check?

Everlast
03-07-2007, 09:34 PM
In my school they do random locker checks during the classes so you don't know when they do it. I know this because I locked my locker one day and after class it was unlocked and all the zippers in my backpack were opened, and I know it wasn't a student because 1: He wouldn't of been able to get the locker open. 2: There was money inside and it wasn't taken.

Everlast

I go to a public school. And I don't understand what your problem is exactly.

blue_moon
03-07-2007, 09:49 PM
My problem is that kids in my school are basically allowed to bring knives into school. They also can do whatever they want with the stuff in their locker. Say there is a scheduled locker exam, the teachers will go "Oh, and if you have something in your lockers you don't want the principal to see, take it out." Only once was a kid caught with "illegal stuff" in his locker (sorry, but I don't think the other term for it was family friendly) and he was sent home for the day. Kids do all sorts of illegal things and are never caught. Also, there is a higher chance of the weaker of the too kids fighting to be caught because they probably won't hurt the teacher/principal. Their rule of thumb is: I only believe what I saw. Do you see the problem?

Guaranteed.

It is actually one of the hardest languages to learn.

???revived
03-10-2007, 05:22 AM
You're joking, right?

Practically no conjugation, very little inflection, very simplistic grammar and strict, easy-to-learn word order.

The only thing that I agree that is difficult is the spelling, but other than that, it is one of the EASIEST languages to learn.

I've heard people say that it's hard, but those are generally people who suck at spelling, grammar, English class in general, or people whose first language is very exotic and far-away from English.

To someone knowing say, Chinese as their first language, English is difficult because IT IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THEIR OWN. Any European language would be difficult then, not just English.

One of the main reasons why English is the world's lingua franca is because IT IS EASY TO LEARN. Again, people seem to think that since there are so many grammar irregularities in English, that there are none in other languages. There are, and far many more, really.

The thing I seek in California is something hopefully found at Nick Jr. or Saban, located in Burbank and Los Angeles.

I know a bit of Spanish, but not a whole lot. It MIGHT come in useful for my job, but I dunno...

As for the whole subject of the national language... Here's what I have to say:

Good point. However, english is easy to learn. There are gender based words. Consado: tired boy /Consada: tired girl. At least Mexicans don't have to learn two of each word.

Loofiloo
03-10-2007, 05:04 PM
Yeah, but the difficult thing about Spanish is that verbs vary based on who's performing an action. Like "He runs" is "Corre" but "I run" is "Corro" (I believe) and "we run" is "corre."

English is probably more difficult to learn for people who don't already speak a Latin-heavy language. It's probably easier for the people who speak Spanish, French, or Italian to learn English than it would be for people who speak Japanese or Hebrew or something.

Its not hard to conjugate them though, since most of the verbs follow the same pattern.

Actually "we run" is corremos. Spanish is also difficult because they have so many tenses. Here are the present tenses

regular ar tenses:
-o I
-as you
-a he/she
-amos we
-an they/them

regular er/ir tenses:
-o I
-es you
-e he/she
-imos we
-en they/them

And thats not it, there are past and future tenses also. As well as irregular and subjective tenses. I know all the endings but I don't know which tense they are.

Then there are stem-changing words like
I have = tengo, instead of teno
I play = juego, instead of jugo

Croatian is hard language .
We learn English in school and it's easier than Croatian .
In Croatian there are too many rules and such things .
I have an A from English and a weak B from Croatian .

Example:
Positive - Comparative - Superlative

Good - Better - Best/Dobar - Bolji - Najbolji
Evil - Less Evil - Least Evil/Zao - Gori - Najgori
Strong - Stronger - Strongest/Jak - Jači - Najjači

Croatian language has 8 terms

Nominativ - tko, što
Genitiv - koga, čega
Dativ - komu, čemu
Akuzativ - koga, što
Vokativ - oj, ej
Lokativ - o komu, o čemu
Instrumental - s kim, s čim
And we have one new that's still unnamed - ja, ti, on, ona, ono, mi, vi, oni

And English has 2 terms:
Nominative and saxon genitive .

In English, you use word:
Joined for man and woman.
But in Croatian:
Pridružio - Man, Pridružila - Woman and there's one thing in Croatian called Srednji Rod, that's like Pridružilo - Srednji Rod, so It's like this:
For word "joined":
Man - Pridružio
Woman - Pridružila
Srednji Rod - Pridružilo

For word "jumped":
Man - Skočio
Woman - Skočila
Srednji Rod - Skočilo

But for word "jump":
Man - Skoči
Woman - Skoči
Srednji Rod - Skoči

It's like that for almost every word in Croatian and some are even much more complicated ...

And there are other even more complicated things in Croatian language that I do and don't know ...

sry, i mean: the book of useless information...

10 useless facts:

*On average, women dream more than men, children dream more than adults, and more people dream in classic black and white than in colour.

*The thirteenth of the month falls on Friday more often than on any other day of the week. In a 400-year period, there will be 688 Friday the thirteenths.

*Car accidents rise 10% during the first week of daylight saving time.

*The popular Barbie doll was without a belly button until the year 2000.

*Although lobster is regarded as a delicacy today, early Americans disliked it so much that they fed it to prison inmates several time a week.

*Studies show that Chinese babies cry less and are more easily consoled than American babies.

*On every continent, there is a city called Rome.

*One-third of Taiwanese funeral processions include a stripper.

*Six percent of people that file for bankruptcy do so because they cannot stand bill collectors.

*One in three snake bite victims is drunk. One in five is tattooed.

But a docter the interviewed on the show said that sometimes a person can wake up and look around and still be asleep, and actually put their dream into figures they can see around them. But they can't move because technically they are still asleep, which is another thing the so called "abductess" describe.

Dude, these weapons can't compare to the original 30. They are way better. Plus, the game can expand. The second sentence you wrote has no corrolation to anything. You are saying the game can't be 10x better because, "The computer is so predictable and noone around me can beat me." More weapons= more fun. Plus, you got the numbers wrong. 135 more weapons, with 20 more on the way.

Actually there are 165 weapons with (total). And I will do what Loofiloo said and edit the first post in this thread so that everyone knows this is now a randomn conversation thread NOT a randomn "post anything you want" thread. I think we all agree.

Gawd, John never seems to learn. -_-

I think prank phone calls are kinda pointless. I prefer practical jokes. It's hard to get prank calls just right... It has to be something crazy, but believable in order to keep the other person on the line and insure more hilarity. They shouldn't know it's a prank call until you spend 10-20 minutes on the phone with them and you personally tell them so.

So, I was sitting here at my computer tonight, and it was around 1:30 when I got thinking... Why not go outside? So that's what I did. I went out into the yard, and walked around in the grass... And everything was totally silent. Not even a breeze. I walked all around my neighborhood, hearing not a single sound but my own footsteps on the pavement. It was such a great feeling. Like the whole neighborhood belonged to me. Nobody was around to disagree, so I could just strut about like I owned the place.

I was enjoying myself so much that I decided to walk down to the nearby gas station. That was all right, although a couple of cars passed by. The interesting thing was that I could see their headlights coming a few minutes beforehand, and I could hear them off in the distance even sooner. A police officer stopped to talk to me for a minute, but I wasn't really in trouble or anything. I'm 18, so I don't have to be in by curfew, and I was totally sober and everything, just going to buy a soda. He told me it's probably dangerous to be walking around when the bars are closing, but he said I didn't have to go back home if I didn't want to. I got all the way to the gas station, which had absolutely no cars visiting, and there was just one woman inside, but she was in the back, apparently talking on the phone of all things. Must have a friend who works the same shift somewhere else. The doors were locked though, and she couldn't hear or see me from where she was, so I just had to trot back to my house empty-handed. About halfway though, I decided I'd jog instead.

That was a great experience. I highly recommend that everybody try this at some point. I'll have to go again tomorrow night. And maybe every day this week. It's spring break after all. I need to do something fun, even if I'm the only one doing it. The only one for miles around. =)
