That ended up as a strange ending with the tanks so close...but why did you miss so terribly with the Cannon Ball at the begining? You could of used less power so it would roll down the hill, then hit him...but you won! Good job. Now what program did you use to record that?

Well, I think the Wii won't be that good because it has that weird control-moving thing that whenever you move the controller, something moves...I don't like that.
Yeah... I personally think that there should be an option to plug in a different controller.
Anyway, I think the Wii and PS3 are both bettter than the 360.:p

Well Halo 2 Xbox Live is awesome, and Halo 1 co-op campaign is awesome too. Simple Halo 1 splitscreen on Blood Gulch can be the funnest thing ever.
And LAN parties are great fun as well...
The multiplayer is what makes it awesome...
EDIT: In my region, Xboxes and Halo are really popular, so that also contributed to the fact...

On the contrary they have a regular controller if you don't like all the moving around.
Oh and two of my friends were playing Halo 2 on Xbox live against two other people and the 2 other people were hacking the game so much. They spawned an aimbot and they were able to drive an exploded Warthog around...but my friends still won! Lol

-Microsoft Xbox 360-
-Nintendo Wii-

Heck, I would too. It's impossible to find one anywhere, online or off. The stores are hardly getting any, and when they actually do, it's usually less than 5. The only way to order one online is to buy an EXTREMELY overpriced one on eBay, and the only way to get one from a store is to wait outside for three days to ensure that you're the first person in line.

Pretty ausome. Graphics are sweet. Right now I'm a wolf trying to recover tears of light from the twilight relm to revive the first Light Spirit. Oh ya there are chickens again! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!! And of course you have your horse :) Epona. One weird thing is, like in Orcorina of Time you use a instroment to call your horse, this time you pick up some kind of plant and blow into it to make the song. You can also find another plant to summon an owl that you can use to attack people. And you can fish again of course, and........well thats all I can think of so far. Yes, you have to move and swing your arm to attack! Yay!
Oh ya there are chickens again! Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Wow, I only waited 50 min and was 9th in line, and I got it Sunday......and my mom (who was waiting in the car and then got out when she realized she could buy one and sell it) only waited about 10 minutes in line, and she is going selling it on Ebay. It actually was pretty enjoyable, despite the cold. Most of the people there were my age, give or take, but a few parents actually camped out for their kids. If you ask me, they are totally spoiling their kids to do that. I'd say, "If you really want it, YOU can sit out in the cold for it."
But yeah, I brought a deck of cards and we played Rummy for a little while, and we bought some burgers from a nearby fast food place at one point. Oh, and we also got really bored and used shopping carts to spell out "Wii" on the sidewalk. Lemme tell you, the hour between 7 A.M. and 8 A.M. felt like the longest time I've ever waited. All things considered, it was a good experience. I'd do it again.

So how many people were there? I was guessing since you got out of line and stuff that there weren't many people there, and if there were you all got out of line. OR they already gave out the tickets and you knew you were gonna get one. Speaking of tickets, when I got my ticket to buy the Wii, I was so happy, and I wanted to keep it, but the guy ripped it up when I payed for the Wii. :( Yeah and as soon as I get a credit card, a car, and a tent I'm camping out for 3 days for whatever big system comes next!

<_< Well... People weren't really competitive enough to take someone's place in line as soon as they step away. As soon as I arrived, everyone told me to sign a sheet of paper on the door to mark my place in line. I was number 6 out of 12, and before the end of the night, the rest of the slots filled up. It was really a relaxed, friendly environment though. We had an agreement that the only way your name gets taken off the list is if you leave the store and don't come right back. Somebody had slot #4 or 5, but they were planning to leave and just show up the next day at their leisure, so they were taken off the list.
Like I said, since the perfect number of us showed up, we were in more of a team setting than an every-man-for-himself one. Around 3 A.M. or so, everyone tried to get some sleep. I got in my car (which was in literally the closest parking spot) and slept for a couple hours with the heat on. When I got back out at 5 o'clock, the guys informed me that some guy came along and said that since I'd left the spot, they should bump me off and give him the last slot. They didn't give it to him though.
I thought it was really amusing how things turned out. All 12 of us were there the night before, and save for the "cutthroat" guy around 3, all the rest of the people who wanted one didn't show up until later than 5 o'clock. They apparently didn't realize that the sheet of paper on the door said "12 units" and kept signing anyway, adding additional numbers. One sneaky person even tried to add a second #12, as if the employees wouldn't know which one was the real number. Once the originals saw the new number added, we all knew it wouldn't go through, since we'd been there all night and new the real #12. Anyway, we all got our 12 vouchers at 8 A.M. and even bought our systems in order, after which we all just went our separate ways, some back home, some back to school.
So..... That's the whole adventure.

But a funny thing was, that Friday me and another guy in my last period were talking about the Wii and we both said we were getting one over the weekend and he ended up being in front of me in the line. He had gotten there about 4 min. before me, so we talked about the whole time. My story isn't exciting but hey they both turned out the same! Well, except my mom also bought a TMX Elmo....

I really felt like I had to say this, but I couldn't think of an appropriate place, especially at this hour when nobody's awake. So I thought "Why not Blitwise's randomness thread? EVERYTHING's appropriate there!" Here goes...
Last night... I decided what heaven is for me. Heaven is a room roughly 8 feet by 8 feet. This room is lit only by a fireplace to my left. It's a real wood fireplace, none of that gas stuff, but there isn't an excessive smoky scent in the air. Just an adequate piny aroma. As logs burn, more appear to immediately replace them and keep the fire constantly blazing on.
To my right is a single little four-pane window. Outside there is nothing to be seen but many, many trees and snow around 4 feet deep. No way to leave. No reason to. The world is in constant twilight, with the sun giving the snow on the ground an orange, sometimes red, sometimes pink glow. A crescent moon is up in the sky ready to greet the night, though it will never arrive.
I will be sitting in the center of the room. I'm in the cushiest, comfiest recliner ever known to man. On top of me is a thick, warm blanket which drapes over my legs all the way to the floor.
On either side of me, there are objects floating in the air just above the arms of my recliner. There are bags of chips, all my favorite kinds, with absolutely none of them broken. As I eat them, none of the cheese or any other flavoring gets stuck to my fingers or under my fingernails. No crumbs fall to my lap. Each chip is as perfect as the last, and not once do I bite my tongue or have a chip break at an odd angle and poke the inside of my mouth.
Accompanying the chips are all my favorite beverages. Milkshakes of all flavors, root beers, cream sodas, tea with honey and lemon, hot chocolate, slushies, and anything else I could possibly want. The milkshakes are not too thick to drink, nor are they too runny to lack consistency. No matter how much I drink, I'll never get one of those brain-freezes. The sodas never lose their fizz. Each sip (which I take through a straw) is as refreshing and bubbly as the first. The tea and hot chocolate are perfectly warm, but they will never burn my mouth, and the slushies keep their slushiness for all time. The bags of chips, as well as all these beverages, never empty.
In front of me, there's a television. A thin one, but very large, capable of displaying any program with the most detailed imagery possible, with the utmost clarity. On this television I don't watch anything you would see today. Only one program airs; The Littl' Bits. It airs all evening, all 26 episodes back-to-back. No commercials. I'll watch every episode until I have them memorized word-for-word. When I've watched all 26 episodes, there will be new ones, episodes that were never seen by man. The series would continue as if its ratings propelled it through 20 successful seasons or more. The episodes would never get stale. They'd never feel like watered-down versions of the originals. Each one would be just as excellent as the last, as if they were all contained within the original two seasons.
All the inconveniences of the real world would be gone. Despite constant eating and drinking, my teeth would never decay, I would neither grow full nor fat, and I would never require a trip to the restroom. My hair and nails would stay the same length, my muscles would never grow stressed, I would neither shiver nor sweat, and I would never have the need to blink or breathe. I would only breathe once during this whole time. I would just breathe a sigh of relief as my every worldly worry melts away in the pure coziness of this tiny room fit for one person.
So I'd sit there in my recliner, more comfortable than I'd ever been, enjoying my roaring fire, occasionally gazing out the window as the evening sunlight makes the snow twinkle a great, broad spectrum of colors, wrapped up snug as could be in my warmest of blankets, enjoying my endless supply of snacks and drinks, and be alone to see the majesty of The Littl' Bits dancing on my magnificent television screen for all eternity... And I would be in heaven. :)

It's been five days... A grand total of 17 hours, 10 minutes of real, solid work. Though an hour and 45 were completely wasted because my computer froze and I forgot to save.
Anyway, it's more detailed than anything I've made. Quite colorful. Shading employed. Not one pixel left blank. All made with MS Paint.

On the left is an archway, and on the right is a window. This is on the balcony of the Mystical Monument, at the finale of the children's festival, right after Willibit has lit a giant torch with a flaming arrow. You see, the king and queen of the festival do this every year, I'd assume. <___< Not sure if that makes a whole lot of sense, but it's basically the best part of the first episode.
And yes, that show was what made me think festivals would improve the world so much.

Just wondering - what on earth is that little bits stuff? I'm too lazy to google it, but it looks like a silly kids' show to me...
It's the most immensely nostalgic thing in the world for me. I watched it 15 years ago (so I was three years old at the time) on Nick Jr., and I almost COMPLETELY forgot that it existed. The only thing I held on to was about two seconds of the theme song (We're the Littl' Bits! We're the Littl' Bits!) which would just randomly pop into my head, then be gone as suddenly as it began. So one day, I was sitting at the computer, when it popped into my head again, and I said "I'll look that show up on Wikipedia." So basically, after looking it up there, seeing pictures of it, and reading about it, there was a HUGE flow of memories just RUSHING right back into my head. It was like I'd been reunited with a friend I hadn't seen since I was practically a baby.
Once I acquired a DVD of it (from some random guy who just happened to record the show when it was on TV so many years ago) I realized that a lot of my very vague childhood memories came from that show, as if they'd been lodged in my subconscious and I couldn't get them to surface before.
Now, if it weren't for the extreme obscurity of the show, I might not like it so much. It's sort of like a memory that only I have. However... I think that many people actually watched it as kids, but they just forgot it existed, like I had for a while. 99% of the time when I show somebody a picture of the show, or play the theme song, (if the person was alive back then) they say "Y'know... That show is really familiar." I find it odd that the show was so unsuccessful (only lasting one or two seasons) because it aired all over the world, so you'd think that it would have gained more popularity elsewhere. From what I can gather, it seems to have been most popular in French. But in English, as well as Polish, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Arabic, German, Persian, and even Hebrew, it's just a subconscious childhood memory that slipped into utter obscurity, probably never to surface again.
I try not to ramble, but it looks like this is going to end up that way. <_< I've sorta made it my life's goal to find a way to acquire copies of all 26 of the English episodes. My current plan is to eventually travel to Los Angeles and find the Saban corporation, as they published the translated English version. If they can't help me, then I would have to try Nickelodeon studios. If nobody still has old copies of the show lying around, then I'd just have to sit down and admit that all is lost, resigning myself to day after day of searching eBay for those ever-so-rare English VHS tapes, which probably only contain a handful of episodes.
I'm a really nostalgic person as it is, and this show pretty much epitomizes my childhood, and it's probably my oldest memory, making it the ultimate nostalgia. If I can get myself reunited with my childhood, then I can be happy in my old age. Plus, I think it would be fun to journey all over the country in search of this über-rare show. :) My only constriction now is a lack of money, so this might not be possible until I'm actually done with college and can get a real job and raise the money for gas and hotels in various cities. I might be able to write a book about the whole trek if and when I finally finish it. I mean, a trip to Japan might even be necessary. If not, I might just go there for the thrill of it to meet the creator. In my life's story, my acquisition of those videos would be the climax.
Of course... At this point, all these paragraphs of my ramblings and my extremely difficult goals might just be hypothetical. I don't really have any idea if I'll get to make this journey at all, but I say it would be fun. Most people would think I'm crazy to go through so much to acquire so littl' (ha ha, puns) but hey, I camped out for a Wii. It was the same deal there, only to a smaller degree. People thought I was crazy, I thought it would be fun, it really WAS fun, and it was worth every minute of effort and waiting. I'm hoping that this is the same deal.
I thought this was going to be two paragraphs, but when I get going, I get going.

Yes, #4 was the best, as it had many memorable little things in it (like the dopefish) although I have the same complaint about it as with all the others: they are awfully difficult. I've never been able to beat even one...
4 was my favorite, with 5 coming in second.
Keen 6 and especially 3.5 were pretty poorly thought out and made in a very mediocre manner.
Gotta love the retro-ness of the original trilogy, though.

Man, where was I when that got started? That would've been fun.
I was just going to make a related post anyway. I've been working on a new picture recently, and while looking around at www.pixeljoint.com, I basically just got incredibly depressed. People make more realistic, more detailed, bigger pictures than I've ever made in a tiny fraction of the time it takes me to make one thing. I don't see how it's possible at all. The one just posted doesn't get to me really, because I could make something that looks just like it given enough time. I just can't get details right. It takes me several hours just to make an outline, and even when I think I've got a great-looking character, somebody else has something that looks almost photorealistic. It makes me feel kinda pitiful when my most time-consuming works don't even look really proportionate or properly positioned. As of this moment, I don't think I have any real pixel art skill at all.

I seem to be semi-banned. >_> I made an alternate account on my own computer (with which I never even posted anything) and now for some reason, I am completely banned from even VIEWING the forums. It's a permanent ban, and no reason was specified for it. So... Unless there's any kind of way to sort this out, it's going to be a lot more difficult to update my CYOA and stuff. I can still do it, but it'll take longer having to transfer it from computer to computer every time.
blue_moon
02-11-2007, 01:21 AM
Wait, your banned so how can you post? Just delete the new account. Say something. Stand up ofr your rights! *stands up and outstretches arms accidently knocking Loofiloo out.

I was going to delete the new account, but it got banned for some indeterminate reason before I had the opportunity to do so much as log out. So because of the unknown reason that caused my alternate account to be banned, I can not use my own computer to visit the Blitwise forums anymore. I'm only able to log in and post here because I'm on a different computer.
This is my parents' Mac, and it lacks Paint, so I can't use it to update my CYOA. v.v I'll have to make an image on my computer, then email it to myself, then host it on Imageshack on this other computer. It's going to be a real pain.

Hey everyone check out this cool thing I found. It's a button that you can't click on. So when you run it, a button pops up on your screen that says "click me", and when ever you put your mouse pointer over it, it moves to a random spot on your screen. It's fun if your bored.Click Here To Download! (http://www.rjlsoftware.com/software/entertainment/clickme/)
Don't worry the program is not even a megabyte. And to get it off the screen just hit Ctr+Alt+Delete, and then click on the program in the menu and click "End Task".

Because they are just the right hardness. #1 is too soft and any higher than #2 is too hard. (not kidding)
And by hardness I mean the leads hardness.

My mom uses a #1 pencil for the crossword puzzle. For one thing, it's easier to use on newspaper, and it's also easier to erase (requires less effort, and smudges less).

I prefer .7mm mechanical pencil lead as opposed to .5mm, as 7 feels more like a classic #2 pencil to me.
5mm breaks too easily.
Loofiloo
02-16-2007, 09:57 PM
I prefer pens. :D
With pens, you never have the lead break at some awkward angle causing a HORRIBLE, AGONIZING GRINDING FEELING whenever you try to write with it. They're just smooth sailing.

blue_moon
02-16-2007, 10:55 PM
Yeah, but I think mechanical pencils are better. You can refill them once they lose all of their lead and don't dry out.
Was It Me?
02-16-2007, 11:48 PM
Not to mention the fact that if you get a good one, it erases very nicely.
I like the good, old fashioned pencil better than the mechanical. Mechanical ones you have to refill all the time, and I hate that agonizing sound that Loofiloo described. Pens are great too, except that you can't erase with them. That's why erasable pens are the best.;)

02-17-2007, 12:53 AM
I dislike mechanical pencils because I usually press pretty hard when writing, so the lead in them commonly breaks off...
And I absolutely love to just cross things out. A single paper of mine can be a confusing mass of crossed-out stuff. I laugh at this guy in my former science class who everytime he made a mistake or something, he walked across the classroom to borrow some whiteout. It's pretty pathetic, IMO.
