As the tital says, what's your favorite movie and why? Mine is either The Labyrinth or Tenacious D,the pick of destiny. I like The Labyrinth because it's something that reminds of my childhood. I like Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny because it's awesome.

I like National Treasure. It had good theme music, and it was pretty cool.

I saw some previews of it one night when watching the first, it doesn't look as good as the first but still looks exceptional.

I've been interested in seeing the first one. Does it have a L O N G drawn out plot, like the Da Vinci code movie did?

Kinda, not really. I didn't see all of the Da Vinci Code, but that plot seemed pretty deep.

National Treasure's plot is more exciting though, and also more understandable... Though it helps to be American or at least have some familiarity with American history. I bet that's a difficult movie to market in foreign countries.
In the Da Vinci Code, you need more familiarity with the history of... Like, Catholicism and religion and Europe, and like I said, National Treasure's plot is definitely more exciting. It also has a touch of humor, unlike the Da Vinci Code.
First and foremost, National Treasure is an action/adventure movie. The next level is mystery, and the level below that is comedy.
For the Da Vinci Code, the hierarchy goes more like: Drama-Mystery-Action.

I think this board is the most American I've seen in a while. The GMC, most people are English or Netherlandic or something like that and they complain whenever somebody posts a Happy Thanksgiving topic.

3) Scarface - A classic, you have to love it.
2) Hot Fuzz - Best funny movie I've ever seen. It's hilarious in a dry humour way.
1) Blow - A really good movie that has a great story...and it has Johnny Depp. I need to see it again soon.

@ The whole crying situation: Why watch a movie that makes you sad? :P

Because it lets you feel your inner child. I loves my inner child.

I'm confused, because I still am a child, somewhat. And how would a sad movie let out your inner child?

There are three layers of childhood. Your inner child does not come out anymore after the age of 9. It is locked in a cardboard box. Your medium child does not come out anymore after 16. It got ran over by a car, leaving a gap between the cardboard box childhood and your outer childhood. Your outer childhood fades away gradually once you are put in a public environment, like a plant. When you cry, your tears both replenish and restore you outer childhood, letting the inner childhood out of the box for a bit until he shrivels back up into a cruel nothingness and locks the inner childhood back up.

Still confused. My inner child was locked up when I was 9 years old, and is only let out when I cry? I find doing things that I did when I was a kid (play with nerf guns, make little pillow forts, that kind of stuff) bring out my inner child.
