Hey all! I'm a newbie to the forums, but have been playing Pocket Tanks for several years now. I don't know why it took me so long to get here, but now that I am, I felt the need to say hello, and hopefully become friends with some of you. I started playing Pocket Tanks on my Power Mac, and have purchased versions of the game for 3 of my 5 computers over the years. I have 2- laptops & 2 PC's that are windows-based & 1 Macintosh. Having said that, I don't feel like a computer geek. I just use them for different purposes (Business & personal) the 2 laptops are used by myself & wife as browsers & gaming (ok, the wife doesn't game as much). I have most of the game packs (130 weapons), but not all, as you can see. I do plan on buying the new CD with all the weapons with Christmas money. Yes, that qualifies as counting chickens before they hatch.
I was a big fan of the Arcade game "Battle Zone", and stumbled across Pocket Tanks during a search for a similar game. I tried the free version & was hooked.
I am from Iowa, USA. I work in Telecommunications as a Network Operations Technician.
I am married to a wonderful woman I met online...anyone ever hear of WebTV? That was my first foray into the internet. She introduced me to the Apple community. We have one pet, a cat named Nefer (short for Nefertiti..her idea..I wanted to call her "spot")
I love playing the game, and am REALLY looking forward to playing humans as opposed to computer players. (I beat the pants of my first opponent who shall remain nameless)
Looking forward to getting to know all of you better!

tl;dr
I go by Loofiloo or sometimes Trooth. Trooth is cooler. I'm only in it for the Pocket Tanks, but I mostly find the general discussion community more fun. I wrote an FAQ for GameFAQs about Pocket Tanks... But I haven't updated it in a few expansion packs.
Web design and English are my strong points. I use a combination of these two things for my frequently-advertised site, Troothful Tales. (http://trooth.midnighthceese.com/)
Also I am well-versed in Paint and Photoshop. These are more things I use to update my site. More Photoshop than Paint lately. I've pretty well abandoned Paint, but the experience is there. Oh, and don't ask me to draw anything on paper. I can make half-decent things in Photoshop and whatnot, but it'll be horrendous in a paper rendition.
I'm a huge fan of The Littl' Bits, so I made www.littlbits.com and I pay for that site's hosting with money out of my own pocket. Don't even get me started on this subject or I'll ramble on for days. Just go to the next paragraph before I end up on some kind of tangent about intricate subtext to any random conversation in any random episode of that show, or possible connections to Gulliver's Travels and Nicolas Cage.
I don't think I'm as much of a gamer as some other people here. I used to be extremely into that kind of thing, but not so much anymore... Like, with Goldeneye on the N64, I played that game so much that I explored every inch of every level. Nowadays I mostly play free games I find around the net or really big release titles for systems I happen to have. When I actually beat a game now, I'll usually only do it once and won't go back through unless this is the only game I'm really playing at the time, or it's been a while and I feel nostalgic.
Speaking of nostalgia, that's a big deal for me. It's why I use rose on my site so much. You heard the phrase "rose-colored glasses?" It's kinda that deal. Ya see, in the old days, doctors would prescribe their patients some rose-colored glasses if they were depressed, because it's a color commonly associated with happiness and nostalgia.
There you have it.
Now you know.
tl;dr?
'lo, im ekoz, and i am 15 and in 9th grade. i live in an uber-rich town, but am not snobby at all. i am mostly a moderator when an argumet breaks out, not a particapator, and i am here really for PT, which i found when in fourth grade. love this game. i am magical at paint, and my computer is an entertainment system where i cab create music, art, and games. i am here to help fur all newbs :D

Hello, I am blue_moon. I am 14, and live on the east coast. I like video games, and make them. I also like Pocket Tanks. I am very active on the forums, as this is my 5000th post, and get break downs every time my computer gets a virus, like right now.

I think either 2000 or 2500 should be a rank between this and the lowly Super Star. If anyone is wondering... I got teh viruses off. Backdoor trojans are annoying.

"You have left the super star brotherhood, although I can no longer call you a brother of our sanctuary, you are a friend. A wise one indeed."
We can all guess who the second Blit Wisest will be.

I have a habit of rambling though. Every week or two I just pop into random conversations and put like 3-10 paragraphs in a post. There was also the CYOA which was one or two big paragraphs every day. I've always maintained that I never post unless I have significant important things to say.
Except "lol me." That was just a little gag.
