View Full Version : Can't find your thread?

I'm doing a little housecleaning here today. In an effort to keep this forum orderly and as on topic as possible, I'll be shifting around a lot of threads today, as well as adding a forum or two, including this one. Like it? I do.

To clarify then, the forums under "In the Works" aren't meant for general talk about those particular games. I've split up the "BlitWise Games" forum into a "Pocket Tanks" and a "Super DX Ball" forum to facilitate general talk about those games, while leaving the "In the Works" and "Fan Submissions" forums for those games open for announcements and questions about upcoming projects, and suggestions and submissions from you, respectively.

I hope this doesn't ruffle any feathers, and it is not meant as a reprimand against anyone whose thread is moved or edited. This site grew a great deal faster than even I anticipated (and I think Mike expected to have all of 20 people here after a month). As such, in order to keep everything clean, we all have to be more conscientious of what threads belong in what forum.

I'd also like to take this time, shortly after our one month mark, to thank you all. I couldn't ask for a better group of posters. By and large, everyone is more than helpful, very understanding, and abiding closely by the rules, and I, Mike, and everyone here at BlitWise would like to thank you for it. Keep it up; we love having you as our guests.

One final word, particularly about this new forum: The Forum Announcements settings do not allow Registered Users to post new threads, however, you can reply to threads that I or another Moderator starts. Thus, if you need clarification, don't hesitate to ask.

This brings up a question... How many people are there at blitwise... Mike, You, who else?

Thanks Brian for all of your hard work answering questions and giving out info, keeping the forums tidy, giving us a laugh (or two) every once in a while, and keeping us in line. ;) Keep it up!

Good question. At the moment, in addition to Mike W, the Glorious Leader, there's Mike A., who you may have seen around the forums, Matt, who WIM mentioned, and Ben, who has also posted here a bit, and who is with us off and on.

As far as the forums go, though, I am pretty much the public face of BlitWise. The other people have way more important things to do, in as much as they actually, you know...make the games. :)

Except for Mike, we're all part time. That's one reason you'll notice a lot more moderation from me in the mornings. I mean, there's only so much to do, so much money to go around, and so many times I can polish Mike's shoes in one day before I've got to go home.

I tend to agree mostly but I still not sure I understand everything here.

And I agree that you are a spambot. But I'm not sure if you are going to be banned now or immediately.

Hi DWs

Quick question if I may.

Can anyone give me "idiot proof" instruction on how I can thank multiple people quoting there comments in a single response ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Mike

If you want said comments in your post, just click the smaller, "multi-quote" button of each post you want to use, then click the "Go Advanced" button above the Quick Reply text box.

Who is "DWs", might I ask?
Bumping a thread, especially this one, a generic message, and titling it after the thread's title when it has nothing to do with it leads me to suspicions...

DW's? I hope that's not what I think it is.

Like in "Arthur"?

lol

Say, why do you have "Mike" at the bottom of your post? You are definitely not Mike.

um...there are more mikes in this world than michael p welch. hope you know that.

But the only well-known Mike on this site is Michael P. Welch.

Samail
05-26-2009, 11:23 PM
And that matters because...

Val81
05-26-2009, 11:26 PM
.....Any Mike here can be confused with Michael P. Welch.

And that screen name doesn't even sound like Mike?
I would understand if there was even an "M" initial in that name. And what makes that name so different? Mike is the founder of this site.

Samail

That doesn't change the fact that his/bot's name could easily be Mike.
