Hey, NW is getter some recognition for the great game that it is. At first, I thought this was a link to a pirate website. However, does this money go to Blitiwse or this place?

Does the money come here, or does this other company get the money? Thats the only thing, because its the exact price, making their profits none or Blitwise not getting enough.

I would expect that it is like any other game "portal". You submit your game to them, they decide if they want it, they work out a deal to where they get some massive percentage of each sale, and you end up making a few bucks per sale from their site / affiliates.

I don't know exactly how Reflexive works though, so maybe it's better there.

Eh... They should just make a link to the place to buy NW. Game portals are rip off aritists.

That's one way to view it, but also you have to think in the long run. Are portals really taking sales away from a company directly? Or, are they giving more product exposure toward people who wouldn't have otherwise known about a game, much less bought it?

There is no real advantage to the consumer for them to buy NW from Reflexive, so I think that the people that would have bought it directly from Blitwise still will, and in the long run, Blitwise will make more money off of the deal.

As I said, however, I don't know exactly how Reflexive works, so it may be a whole different scenario.

I just checked them. Some people are literally smacking the game across the face because they couldn't get it, or they thought it was a clone of Geometry Wars. It's amazing how if one game goes commercial before another, any predecessors are called clones.

If not blitwise can sue them...

For the record... Neon Wars does not sell on the portals. I think it is perhaps the lack of cute little kittens and other fluffy happy stuff. :)

Neon Wars would probably do a lot better on a service like Steam; I only saw releasing on Reflexive as a test. It was a good test too... I discovered for myself that basing your downloadable game business on portal sales will force you down a slippery slope. There's always the path less taken, and that's where I'm happy to be.

You mean successors, yes?

Yeah, I was going through YouTube comments the other day. Sheesh. It's fun, that's all that matters to me.

Yea Neon Wars is fun... i won't buy the full version but, it will be almost the same with a level mode for $16, if i'm going to buy it, i need more stuff in the full version. Also, Blitwise makes games that even i think are as about as fun as Nintendo's, Sony's and Microsofts games. Just putting my opinion, also they cost less:D
