well, see, most computer games don't do more than to MANUAL players (that is, on the same computer) that's what online play is for, and everyone here has pretty much learned to not even THINK about that subject in fear of going crazy of urgent need of it. so, sorry to say, but get used to it, and welcome to hell.

I he think he meant having a 3 or 4 (or more) player game. Other tank games have done this (like atomic cannon). This could lead to the possibility of having team battles with friends or PC.

Now what would really be cool is capture the flag >_>.

aaahhhh...so that's what you meant...ok, i like it too. iv'e played atomic cannon, but ptanks is better. go right ahead on your rant, i won't stop you. multiplayers IS a good idea, but it would be kinda hard to fit 4 people around 1 computer..:D

It's called hotseat. A lot of games (at least older ones) have something like that, where you'd just switch seats when it's somebody else's turn...

Beyond words? Have you ever played an old HotSeat game? Games are far more entertaining when the people are with you... Sure, we have some solutions for this... Voice chat while gameing... Not bad... But we are naturally social creatures... Not that some of us like to accept that... In the days of Scorched Earth, We used to really smack talk each other... Things would get a bit heated... but it was all in fun...:)

Voice chat stinks. Its okay if someone swears at you that you know over a video game, but what I really can't stand is when some eight year old comes online and starts cussing you out in his high pitched voice.

I spend more then 90% of my time on the computer talkin with you guys or messing around online... but ya internet play would rule... (Goes to maplestory administraters and reports the potential threat to its ever-growing empire)

you know what would really be funny?

a top down (or 2-D side) map that spans a world, and it's a MMORPG.

like, you drive around in , pick up weapons, buy armor, and kill other tanks. and all this is spanned over a world. you can sign in and out, gain ranks (seargent, commader, corporal(they in order?)) that allow you to use better weapons and armor, and when you kill tanks, you get money. there are shops located around this world, teleports, you can also not only buy armor and weapons (which you could also find) from these shops, but you can also buy upgrades like weapon multipliers, better treads, rapid fire, ect.

i know that would really be milking the game, but you have to admit, a real time top down MMORPG tank game like that would be hot. or even a side scroller!

Side scrollers really only work with the main charector being a living thing... besides, how many mmorpg sidescrollers are there? One? Maplestory? (Wow got to say that twice in one thread)

Now, there might be a few morpg sidescrollers, buy as more the extra m in the beggining? No....

And it wouldnt take a hit at all.

well mabey as the next blitwise game but it would A) need to be free to stand a chance with other MMORPGs out there (like WOW) and B) take a long time to make.

Heavy Tank - A slow moveing, slow shooting, power house of a player.

Light Tank - Fast moveing and shooting, eventually a light machinegun will be attached.
