It's a great game, I have it for Super Nintendo, but it stopped working so I got the ROM for it. (I'm pretty sure that's legal.)

Well, it's bassically a really good RPG. (No, not a rocket propelled gernade ;))

I have to say, this is probably my FAVORITE RPG of all time. All the elements that make up a good RPG, story, gameplay, character development, sidequests, replay value, are all there. I've got all of the 14 (I think it's 14, if you count the "The future refused to change" ending you get if you lose) ending, and I still play it from time to time. It's included in one of the Final Fantasy anthology collections for the PS1.

I beleive that as long as you have the cartridge... you can legally use the rom... But I'm no Lawyer...

This is one of my SUPER favorite JRPG and (Skyes of arcadia, Grandia 2, Golden sun) and i finished this game for 48 hours. There is few ends in Chrono TriggerI started playing Chrono Trigger long after the 3d Generation began(Final Fantasy 7).... so I never really got into it... It had a good storyline... but for what ever reason... RPG's on the SNES don't interest me anymore... now Platformers are another story... I don't know... Certain Genre's are just better on the SNES... I absolutely love Golden Sun... and I just bought Grandia 2 for the Dreamcast This morning... I hope I enjoy it...

It's included in one of the Final Fantasy anthology collections for the PS1.I believe it's Chronicles... or something like that... it came with Final Fantasy 4...

The ultimate bad guy/being/creature... is called something like "Vulcano" ...

I just got to the "Tata And The Frog" part and I'm stuck...I'm tempted to use a walkthrough just for a second.

Tata and the frog? Hmmm...well, of course, first, talk to everything. :) Standard RPG fare. Now, if you've got to the part where Tata goes off to find the medallion, you have to go to the place where they say it is, some mountain, and find it. At least, I'm assuming that's the part you're stuck at.

As to what it is about, it involves a group of unassuming youngsters who end up getting sucked through a time warp into the past, and their attempts, first to get home, and then to rectify matters when they realize that, in the future, the entire world is destroyed by a powerful alien entity that in prehistoric times burrowed into the core of the earth and slowly built up its power. You travel back and forth through multiple time periods gaining party members, and the things you do in the past affect the future, such as killing a desert monster in the past making what HAD been a desert in the present the first time you were there now being a forest.
