Hey Everyone,
Just imagine playing as a all new character in a amazing world and it was made by BlitWise!
Imagine if it included special abilitys such as Fire Ball, Ground SLam and many more.
How great would it be to see an original platformer from blitwise it would be so fun and maybe even a seperate game mode for when you beat the game!
Hope you think this is a good idea!

Like a NEW platform game, maybe taking several of our ideas and mixing them into a brand new Blitwise platform game?

Maybe some RPG elements?
Such as you talk to npc and they give you a quest and your rewarded with something like money, an item or something completely different.
It would be so fun!

Thanks maybe it could be free roaming also, or even better, never ending, like it generates random quests after you complete the game, and when you complete a quest a new one appears somewhere.

Well, aside from the 3D-ness, it was an RPG, except in platform view. You could back and forth between towns and stuff...

Oh sounds pretty nice but why "Paper" Mario...?

Well, it did have a platform aspect, but was also RPG with the storyline. The "paper" is because the characters are randomly made out of paper.

Now we both know it wasn't random...

Heh? They just made characters out of paper for no apparent reason. Its all random. I mean, what possible storyline could turn Mario into paper?

Sounds pretty cool, because you are from the gmc too have you played Virtanan's game Cosmic? It was a platform rpg where you done quests to get stars to revover a planet from death.

Nah, I haven't played that. I like 2DCube's Wubly series. You are kr_default or whatever, right? You've been there forever. Since '04. Anyway, whats the game? Like, is it any good, or anything like paper mario?

Yea I have been there forever... well I haven't played Paper Mario so I don't know about that but I think it may be, you can shoot in COsmic but you don't need to that often.
Yes Wubly is really fun I have nearly beat everything in it but have you played his game called Ollie the Ostrich? It was just before Wubly!
Also when you go there look for VIrtanen's games there awesome!

Aahh, my ancient dream was to have a randomly generated platformer! What I always disliked in all Mario-type platformers? They have NO replayability, except for finding secret places. Of course it will take some times until you figure out how to beat each level, but it is not fun at all to replay these levels when you remember every platform or know all easy roundabouts and like-cheat techniques…
Now about secret places… They’re like ‘quest’-type games. Some freaky devs think hard to hide some bonuses in a ‘secret area’, and then some freaky players think even harder to uncover them. But since all ppl think differently, some of the secrets may be unreachable for some ppl. And you’ll not reach that ‘all secrets found!’ message just because you think differently than devs or just tired checking out every platform for possible ‘secrets’…
Well, if the levels could be different every time, it could breathe new life in platform games. Not necessarily totally random-built, some story-based elements could be placed as well. And yes, there could be three game modes, ‘story’, ‘endless quest’ and ‘free roaming’. While I don’t think that free roaming could be really fun in platformer, there’s nothing bad just to try it out. Like, there could be hidden shops or unlockables randomly generated in some sort of city or forest or huge building or sort of… And you have just to jump the platforms and search for these… =))))
Unfortunately I currently can’t imagine how this could be reached technically. To my knowledge, the hardest thing is that the game must be sure that randomly-generated levels are possible to pass. And how to do that? Perhaps if we know physical characteristics of the main char (how far and high he can jump, etc), the game could create a sequence of plantorms so they are necessarily possible to pass through. f player char can ideally jump 10 units away, then ‘easy’ holes between platforms could be 2.5 units wide, e.g. the player must use only 25% of his char’s potential power. In Normal, the holes will be as wide as 5 units (50%) and In hard – up to 9 or even 10 units. Now let’s imagine that there is some ‘acceleration’ technique that requires some skill, but allows jumping 15 units away. This will be for ‘Expert’ difficulty… But thing is, the platforms don’t have to be on same horizontal axis, e.g. one could be below or above another, and this will change jumping abilities dramatically. Also in most platformers you can jump from upper platforms to lower ones, and there could be some powerups that allow you to fly… So it becomes more complicated to validate randomly-generated levels…
But if Blitwise will manage to create a random platformer validation system, they will be kings of platformer genre! =))))))
